I had started my anual subscribtion this Friday (4/10/09). How long does it take to be admitted into the donors forum? I have sent the email with details that same day itself. I have not yet recieved a reciept or any RFEs. Hope there is no backlog:D:D:D

I currently reside in Nebraska. I'm in pending I-485, and its I-797C�s Received Date was in Aug, 20007, Receipt Number: LIN-xx-xxx-xxxxx. My EAD expires on this December 2010, and my AP has expired on December 2008. I re-entered US on Feb, 2010 using H1B Visa and its HIB has expired on May 2010. I�d like renew my EAD and AP. I�ve got all paper ready to file, but I�m confused about Where Service Center/Office I should file to and pay the fees to. I�d appreciate your help.

Is the renewal form I-131? Isn't it same as applying for FRESH AP??
No where on the form we indicate that this is a RENEWAL??

Iam on H1 and my wife and 2 kids are on H4. we have been here for 3.5 yrs now. My petition has to be extended next year. My employer is delaying my GC process (not applied yet).
My Wife's brother who is a citizen is planning to apply for I-130 for my wife (not sure if it can be applied for me and kids as well, that is a different question).
However my main questions are:
- if he applies for I-130 for my wife, will it affect her H4 status or will I-130 application be affected due to her H4 status here?
- Will we have a problem when we apply for the petition renewal next year?
- Also will it affect the employer based Green card application (whenever int he future my employer applies for me)?

I have seen references that if there are different I-140 apps approved per family, there is a possibility of going for the 485 stage separately. Also I have seen posts stating that one can go for AOS and the other for CP.
How do you communicate to USCIS that for one you are doing AOS and the other you are doing CP, with reference to the 485 stage? When does this really happen?

HI All,
I am a Canadian Citizen, Previously i worked on H1, Once i got a full time in Canada came back, but did not return I-94, still valid (not expired).
I had my Nexus card Interview, the American Officer checked previous I-94 and asked if i still worked with the same company, i said no. He took back the I-94 and rejected issuing Nexus card. He mentioned, if i was at a port of entry, i would have been banned from entering, but now i cannot touch you because you are not asking to enter USA. He did mention that, this will not effect my Future TN or H1b applications.
Now all i want to ask from you all are
1.Will this effect my future TN or H1.
2. Will US officials stop me from crossing the border
3. Is USCIS/INS going to see this history and effect my future applications like GC or any type of Visas.
Any information is welcome, or can anybody with similar experience share what happened in the past.

I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology, graduating next year in May or October. I am currently on an F-1 student visa and have heard ominous things about getting an H1-b and GC in my field.
I know I have time and things can change, but it seems like they are becoming more difficult. Hence if there are people out there who have ideas, experiences and information to share about what the process is like for potential psychologists to get sponsored, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

When an h1b transfer via regualr processing (california center) is pending...and say the person gets fired /layed off etc....
Can another h1b transfer be done with just the recepit notice and previous I-797?
What's the risk? Some companies are not willing to do premium processing even if the candidate is ready to pay the premium process fee.

Hello Everyone,
I need some suggestions from you guys.
My Employer A filed my green card labor in April 2000.
I was working with them on H1B till May 2003.
I moved to Employer B on H1B in May 2003.
Employer A continued to process my GC, and they filed my I485 in Jan 2007. I paid for the expenses.
My I485 is now pending at TSC.
Also Employer A confirmed they will support till i get my GC and I don�t have to work for them.
Can I use AC21 portability to move to another employer C using my EAD?
Do you see any issues i may face since i am not working for employer A?

As long as you are in status it is fine, what you need is a valid I-94 or a receipt showing that you applied for a timely extension. You only submit documents that are asked by the officer.
