    Just got my 140 approved...no confirmation from the employer yet but received email from CRIS saying they mailed the approval on April 15. Looks like the published processing times are being adhered to.

    Don't understand what you mean? I could not locate your other post about C&G. Please guide me to that post.
    Also, why in the world do they have to slow down processing PERM applications? And that too the Atlanta Center? May it is time for them to transfer all the cases from Atlanta center to Chicago center and dedicate the Atlanta center to process other work.
    Just does not make sense at all.

    gimmeliberty, srinivas_o, x1050us, PKV4voice thank you so much. I was out for about a couple of hours and when I came back I saw all these contributions lined up. I cannot express the feeling I got. I was totally overwhelmed. After yesterday’s round, which took about 24 hours to close (estimation, I didn’t check), I was worried if we will be able to finish this round. But I am certain now that we will finish this round successfully. Of course, we will, if we have motivated people like you.

    Guys as it states both you and your spouse need to have an SSN not ITIN.
    So if one has ssn other has ITIN you are not qualified.

    The stimulus package is $600 for each member who has an SSN. Therefore if both you and your wife had an SSN you would get $1200. In the case where one spouse has an ITIN, the remaining spouse still is eligible for the $600. As mentioned in this post earlier you can always file 1040X one you receive the SSN for your spouse and claim the additional $600.

    I'm telling them my condition, and I know there are lot of people in the same boat. Again you need to talk to the lawyer about GC cost. Emplyee can bear all the GC related cost.
    EAD/AP 360*2 + 305*3(Spouse + son) is almost 2K.
    If your facts are different put that in writing and send it to them. Please stop telling me my facts. Also I have no idea why you are on this thread, please ignore this thread if it doesn't apply to you...

    I don't understand why you are picking up on facts and faults on other post.What mirage is saying is true.I know 3 families stuck up in this GC process...all true cases.

    There are some lucky people who have bought old labor substiution ;)who came to US in 2004 and got their GC's cleared and are very :D.

    Some really who have come here to study...living in US for past 10 years genuine appliers are really stuck in this.They have all applied their labor and got them cleared only dec 2006.

    people who are interested can send those letters if not ignore the thread.

    If you are EB2 good for you...Its not that easy to change jobs having families..and when you are satisfied with the employer ,why would they change.

    Everyone here want GC to stay in this country.And we all are here to find solutions thru IV - active participation is better.

    Pani's letter is not that bad...if you dont like alter what you want to express and send it.People can write what they are facing only.

    There is no official process or filing fee. Attorneys generally represent both the employer and the employee. Because revoking the petition could harm the employee, a conflict of interest arises. Accordingly, most immigration attorneys would not want to be involved in assisting in the revocation of petitions.

    even if it is available, the principal applicant wont be able to take real advantage of it. As you cannot switch to company B, without invoking AC21, which kicks in only 180 days after, filing 485.

    i think nothing will ever happen for GC backlogs in near future..

    Yes, it appears people on this forum are still confused about backlogs due to unavailable visa numbers and backlog due to CIS having too many 485s to process.

    They are 2 different things.

    Diptam :This morning my on-line case status has changed to Request for Additional Evidence Sent

    My lawyer received it on Dec 16th - they said that they need at least 2 weeks to answer the RFE. They also mentioned that the RFE doesn''t ask for any specific paperwork , its like a Question-Answer Form.

    a) Why do you need this guy
    b) Can you find an american instead of this guy
    c) How you benchmark performance in the company

    I checked with IV core and few attorneys regarding this issue. You will need the consent of the employer since we are dealing with I-140 petition. Please speak to your HR and try convincing them to support you. We are not asking USCIS to expedite our cases. All we are asking is follow the FIFO and process cases in an orderly manner.

    I believe that for Schedule A Professionals like nurses and PTs, the only solution is the bridge amendment to make it faster. They are now using EB3, which means competing against hundreds of thousands of Engineers. With the latest bulletin, it seems the wait is five to six years...wow! that was long! But I think that is not the true picture. By mid of the 2008 fiscal year, we will see the real picture so hang on. The wait could be in reality 3 years.

    If they are such smart to calculate numbers like you said, which is theoritically possible, they would not be creating mess like this for years.

    Yes, it is easy for them to know how many applications are filed and from which country and how many are in which category etc etc. Based on visa numbers availability, they could very well process the applications are request the visa numbers from DHS. When USCIS handles all the 485 processing, then how come DHS is responsible for moving the dates in VB. It is insane and ridiculous for DHS to have this functionality when they do not have any idea on 485 apps with USCIS. They are scewing up immigrants deliberately without transparency between them.

    People are jumping into conclusion with a few approvals from 2004/2005, but what you are not considering is the number of people with 2001/2002 priority dates who just applied for 485 in June. There might be a lot of them (I am one of those). If there are not too many of them, it is good for everyone, but its very tough to predict.
    From what I heard from my lawfirm, they expect the oct bulletin to go back to 2001 or early 2002. But with everyone filing 485, USCIS should be able to predict the number of applicants and move dates better compared to earlier when they were shooting in the dark and wasting visas.

The suggestions would be to create a blog on blogger.com with a google account, as several of the other blogs (iv-tristate, iv-physicians, etc.,) are all on blogger.com.

    Please support "paskal"(physician) in his efforts as he will be able to liaise with policy makers and influencers in the healthcare segment. iv-physicians.blogspot.com is one such effort- don't let the name dissuade you.     The only practical solution, IMHO, is to move over to EB-2. Like they say, If you can't beat them, join them.

    IMHO, yes, please move to EB2 if you can find a new job within your company or outside. EB3 is in limbo and not sure how long it will take to get resolved.

    I am lucky enough to have an EB2 job with current PD. Several of my friends who are eligible for EB2 could not find suitable EB2 jobs and could not file in EB2.
