Above is the message, I got it from them. I can't contact my attorney, because that's our company policy. While the HR told me that they will inform me when my PERM gets approved.
Hope after 5 long years , my GC ambition will be completed this time. All the best for rest of the folks!!!

this is surprising. really the dates should move- at least some. i keep thinking with each bulletin that EB3 will surely move now but it just has not happened. at this moment of course they have simply made it U. i wonder though if the dates will move when the october quota comes in.
is there any way, any way in this whole freakin process, that we can get some sort of explanation for eb3-I first hand from DOS or USCIS? i mean there needs to be some justification for the acts? i know there are laws to interpret these dates, but how do we know that those laws are interpreted correctly by DOS or USCIS? though i am in eb3-I , jan 2003, i personally know atleast 3 folks who are in 2002 - eb3-I. Can we get some sort of guidance here.

filed LC in 2003 thinking it would be useful to stay on H1 as long as possible!! and the rest is on my profile..
I wonder if anybody thinks it makes sense to create a law which simply says after 15 (or some X years) of legal presence in the US you will be given a GC no matter the back ground! In that way we know exactly where the deadline is irrespective of some government agency's whim.
to make it more arbitrable, how about if one completes the 40 tax credits and is clean of criminal records.

We can't just poke around an established government agency because we feel they are not doing their job properly.
What do you (You refers to people who think above, not one in particular) say about the people who filed lawsuit and got the 180 day Name check rule to implementation faster? Not that I am proposing lawsuits, just an example to disprove what you said.

If you guys think that CIS will give you the GC on the day they will feel like and you are cool with it, Why even hopping around boards either for information or anything. Just follow the processing times and see whether number has been called or not. 99% of the crowd thinks here that we can get a better policy by making our voice heard. I dont see rational and logic between what you are saying and what you are doing, unless you are smartly drawing a wedge or trying to scare away people saying that you are not a citizen, you will get busted.

If you check OP and other posters in this discussion, looks like it took around 2 months for all of them.
Did you mean in 2 months after interfiling they got 485 approved? Please clarify.

I am in EB2 with a US Master's degree. My priority date is April 2006 and my case is not approved. Many of friends same boat as me are not approved.
So "reddymjm" I don't think all US Master's degree in EB2 are approved.

Morally it is right to send money to parents, but legally it is not. As you can strive but, you wont be fair to either set of parents. Hence I believe "money" should not be sent to parents. Your parents should have planned their own future, including humanitarian needs. Only if your other half agrees, then only you should send money. Otherwise, it is your and your spouse's money.
Yes, you are right! The Indian parent should have given their retirement a very high priority than their kids education. There are millions of middle class parents who didn't care about their retirement but worried and planned for their kids future by spending not only money but also precious time.
How many Indian origin parents in US invest in their children to make them a 'well rounded' personality so that these children can go to IVY leagues? I believe, it is time for them to focus on their retirement than to spend money on Kumon, Music/Dance classes, soccer/swimming lessons, softball/little league, chess lessons, spelling bee etc...
And why should they move to a sprawling four bedroom home in a suburb and save on heating cost by making their home as an igloo? The reason is their kids can get more space to play around, get a sense of community and build friends.
Just a 3BR aptmt should suffice. And why would a returning NRI want to enroll his kids in an International school?

'just enough' for their kids and load up their IRA, 401K and after tax mutual fund or probably put it in a CD or stash it under a mattress! You know why, the ungrateful kid doesn't care about the parents even during humanitarian crisis!

Our hero would visit his parents apartment with his wife in tow, alight from his beamer and tell "Alright dad, It's OK if you don't have money to treat your cancer. We would surely help you thru our contacts. Our temple group has a special program. Also it's a great advantage that my wife has lots of contacts in her part-time business. She's also a part of a church group that takes up urgent humanitarian needs..Don't worry, we'll make it"

If only I had sent flowers to USCIS they would have been in trash, but you know where those 1000s of bouquets landed. I will certainly write them, on this forum everybody's is throwing ideas if an idea is good and like by others we get support and that's when a campaign start. Regarding predicting, wouldn't it be good for us to know if they received 20K EB2 application for India with PD 2003 and 40K application for EB3 in 2003 so instead of looking at Visa cutoff dates we can pack our bags....
Why don't you write a letter to USCIS? I have already pointed that out to you on my earlier comments.

Good job people,
However we are falling short of the $2000 target for today. Will we make it, or will we let ourselves down?
Remember everyone BUT us immigrants wants us to fail. The anti-immigrants are WELL funded lobby. They ask for help from their members and they get a TON of it. All we ask on IV's behalf is $5.00 for now.
