I need your help to come to a conclusion on my issue.
1) I am on L1-b now in USA and working on company A
2) company B filed me and H1B as consulate process(means i have to get
stamped to start working for them)
Recently company B filed me labor+ I-140 mentioning as future employment and they are planning to file I 485 also now(since we have current dates)
Now I am planning to quit company A for who i am working on L1 and want to go for stamping to join company B who will be filing 485 for me. I have plans to travel to canada for stamping on August last week (after 485 filing).
Do we have any issues to get the stamping for new company who filed my 485
any help is greatly appriciated.

Hi,
I am in a situation where I changed my Job and new organization has filed the Visa Transfer process on 28 May 2010.
My and my dependents current H1-B / H4 and I-94 from the prior organization is expiring on March 14 2011 and the H1-B Transfer process has not been completed and rather it is now in the RFE Status as of Today i.e March - 7 2011.
Am I still eligible to stay in US or not. What should be my next course of action.
Please suggest at the earliest.

Bottomline - if you are considering converting your LC case from TR to RIR, then your employer must send an email to DOL by Jan 20th and complete recrutiment process by April 1 ( or else case will be closed without recourse to appeal).

Recently my 140 was filed and the checks were cashed through ACH. I paid for PP and see that the checks were cashed on March 8th. My attorney has not received my receipt, I was wondering if there was anyway I can get the receipt number for the case so I can track it ...

Hi:
My full 6 years of H-1B expires in Jan 2010. My labor will be filed in Jan 2009. I would like to go back to school full time on F-1 in Fall 09. At that time, I would still have 5 months of H-1B time remaining plus a priority date. After I graduate, find a job on a new OPT, would it be enough time to start a new GC processing, without having to go back home for a year?

IS the HDFC bank receipt number a 10 digit one? It has space for only 10 digits on the website while booking an appointment. My number has an 'A' before the 10 digits. When i enter just the 10 digits it says "Cast from string "undefined/undefined/undefined" to type 'Date' is not valid". 2 business days havent been completed yet (since the payment) and that might be one of the reasons but i am not sure yet. Anybody see this before?
Also, as i understand once this goes through, i will be able to fill in the details for the DS-156 and DS-157 automatically and dont need to go to any other site. Appreciate your insight

We are family of four and have the following status
Self - Adjustment of Status (AOS - 485 filed in July'07), AP, EAD and a valid H1 (renewed recently)
Spouse - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, EAD, H4 expired end of April 2010
Son 14 yrs. old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010
Daughter - 11 yrs old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010

Congrats to IV core team on pulling something very improbable; filing I-485 till Aug 17th honoring the July visa bulletin.
Any idea what are the options for Employment-based CP? I already applied for CP and am waiting for Packet 3. Packet 3 itself takes 6-8 weeks for processing. I tried to find info when visa number is alloted when u choose CP for greencard. I am getting conflicting information.
Can I file I-485; can I switch to 485 from CP. How long does the switch take. Thanks for ur inputs.

Jul 2nd filer. EAD approved late Sep and notice mailed on 10/2/07. (LUD on EAD 10/2)
There is a LUD on the AP application on 10/4/07, but the status still says case received and pending. What could this LUD be ?
When I saw the LUD (with 10/4) I got excited and thought AP was approved too, but when I click the case details , it still says pending. The text of the details did not change.

Hi,
My H1B transfer from Company A to B is denied on 04/22/2010 and currently I am working for Company B. Company B is planning to apply for MTR. Now I am getting offer from Company C. My questions are:
1) Is it possible to get H1B transfer on premium processing approved from Company C with EOS (Extension of Status)? Do I need to apply for transfer or New H1B with Company C?
2) Can MTR affect the new H1B transfer to Company C?
Will appreciate your quick response and thanks a lot for your great help.

The New York Times today reports on a surgery that is heroic in scope. Japanese-born Tomoaki Kato, a surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia led a 43-hour operation to remove a massive tumor(the size of a football) that had engulfed the liver and other vital organs of a 59 year old man who had been told the tumor was inoperable. As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

If your company is having layoff they cannot start new GC labour. But it has nothing to do with 485. And as in your case it doesn't stop the processing.;)

Please submit contracts, statements of work, work orders, service agreements or letters from/with end-client firms requiring computer related services of the beneficiary. Evidence from other consultants or employment agencies not acceptable. The requested evidence should show specialty occupation work with the actual end-client company where the work will ultimately performed.
My company is big (250+) so why such?? if somebody had same RFE or any guidance or help regarding such matter is higly appreciated.
